Job summary

Asplundh Groundperson position in Vermont offers entry-level and skilled roles with on‑the‑job training and a pathway to a career in line clearance. Work outdoors in all weather, trimming and managing vegetation to maintain clearance for utilities and powerlines.

The role involves operating chainsaws, feeding brush into chippers, and maintaining equipment. Pre‑employment checks and a valid license are considered in the hiring process. We offer a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years‑of‑age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry‑level position, no experience required.
• Previous experience a plus.
• Pre‑Screen: may require drug screen, background and/or MVR check.
• Driver's License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
• Drag, gather, and feed brush into a woodchipper.
• Services vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
