Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking crew members to support pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers. You will assist climbers, operate tools, and help keep sites clean and safe while directing traffic when needed.

Ideal candidates love the outdoors and can complete the required orientation, First Aid/CPR, and defensive driving training. CDL and line clearance/tree work experience are a plus, with benefits available to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License—Class A or B without air brake restriction.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and/or herbicide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbers, forepersons and other crew members who perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers.
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Direct road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods.
• Haul and chip brush and debris and blow saw dust, leaving the work site clean and tidy.
