Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Cypress, TX is hiring skilled ground and climb crew members to perform safe pruning and removal work on utility projects. You will work on-site with climbers and forepersons, use chainsaws, chippers, and lifts, and keep the job site clean.

The role includes training, benefits and opportunities for advancement. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available depending on skills and experience. Employment is permanent, full-time, with travel up to 25% and on-site work at customer

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors.
• Complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B without air brake restriction.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide/herbicide licenses and certificates, if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist climbers, forepersons and crew members in pruning and removal work for major electric utility providers.
• Maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Direct road and sidewalk traffic as needed by use of warning devices and other methods.
• Haul and chip brush and debris and blow saw dust, leaving the work site clean and tidy.
