Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Groundman to support line crew operations, performing ground handling of materials, tools, and tackles, and assisting in basic duties as training progresses toward an Apprentice Lineman. The role requires CDL Class A, a medical card, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Applicants must pass qualification tests and a physical abilities assessment, and be able to travel as needed. Overtime, varying shifts, and safety PPE compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess interstate CDL, Class A license and a medical card or ability to obtain them within six months of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Pass qualification tests including paper-and-pencil tests and an outdoor Physical Abilities Test.

Responsibilities

• Handles materials, tools, and tackles on the ground; digs and fills holes.
• Takes training to qualify for Apprentice Lineman.
