Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Savannah, GA is seeking a Groundman to support our electric utility construction crew. You will assist with building, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems under the supervision of a Foreman, with safety as the top priority. The role requires willingness to travel, long hours, and physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather. CDL within 60 days required.

Qualifications

• Compliance with safety rules and PPE usage.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions.
• Willingness to travel and handle on-call/outage duties.
• Capacity to operate in varying weather and job-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and safe handling of equipment.
