Job summary

Phillips & Jordan, Inc. is seeking a Groundman in Banner Elk, North Carolina to support tree crews with heavy physical work and varying tasks.

You will haul brush and wood, assist climbers, operate chainsaws and chippers, and keep gear in good condition under safety rules. A successful candidate has about 1 year of tree experience, willingness to learn chainsaw operation, and must complete a pre-employment physical.

• Competent or willing to learn chainsaw operation and maintenance.

Job description

Groundman are required to perform heavy physical duties on a variety of tasks which are generally semi-skilled in nature. The duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to crew.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
