Job summary

RJS Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations from groundbreaking through project closeout. The role focuses on ground-up commercial structures, strict safety adherence, and strong leadership to drive project success.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of commercial construction experience as a superintendent, with ground-up building expertise. Federal project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience as a Superintendent.
• Ground-up building experience is required.
• Federal agency construction experience (e.g., USACE, NAVFAC, GSA) is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently to regional project sites.
• Physical ability to navigate active jobsites, stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from site-prep through completion.
• Maintain and enforce the master project schedule; develop 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Lead weekly progress meetings and be the on-site point of contact for Clients and stakeholders.
• Enforce safety programs and conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Perform continuous site inspections to ensure compliance with specs and codes.
