Job summary

Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is seeking an ALS Paramedic for Ground Transport. You will perform high-level assessments, triage, and treatments, operating advanced equipment under clinical protocols. You’ll document care thoroughly in the EHR during patient transports in the Winston-Salem area.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EMT-Paramedic training, NC Paramedic certification, and BLS; ACLS/PALS during orientation. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Accredited EMT-Paramedic program completion.
• NC Paramedic certification is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS during orientation.
• Minimum two years paramedic experience, incl. one year field work.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional paramedic care with high-quality assessment and triage.
• Deliver treatment plans and execute advanced practice procedures.
• Operate specialized medical equipment under approved protocols.
• Document care in the EHR and ensure patient safety.
• Support patient transport operations outside the hospital per standards.
