Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Ground Transport Paramedic to assess, triage, treat and evaluate patients during interfacility ground transport. You will operate ALS procedures autonomously under medical director guidance and supervise assigned drivers, while maintaining safety and quality on every transport.

The role requires extensive patient care, communication, and teamwork in a high-stress setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Must hold Florida Paramedic License.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications commonly required.
• Must have valid Florida Driver's License and EVOC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe interfacility transport of patients according to UF Health Jacksonville protocols.
• Performs ongoing assessment and treatment per policies and guidelines.
• Maintains patient safety and directs care during transport.
• Operates and supervises EMS personnel and equipment.
• Documents care and communicates with patients, families, and team members.
