Qualifications

• Florida-licensed paramedic required.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinician on an ALS ground ambulance.
• Perform ALS & critical care interventions for interfacility patients.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, triage, treatment, and evaluation during transport.
• Document the full clinical process accurately in the patient care record.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned drivers, ensuring safe transport operations.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor to team members, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, hospital teams, and external partners.
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives.
• Uphold and advance the mission, values, and safety standards of UF Health/ShandsCair.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the lead clinician on an ALS Critical Care ground ambulance

Required Qualifications

• Florida-licensed Paramedic (current and in good standing)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon hire
• Minimum 2 years of pre-hospital Paramedic experience
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Completion of a Florida-approved EVOC driving course

Preferred & Advanced Credentials

• ITLS or PHTLS (preferred at hire; required within 1 year)
• CCEMT-P, UFCCP, FP-C, and NRP (preferred; required within 1 year)
• Experience in critical care transport
• Instructor status in EMS certifications
