Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in Aurora, CO is seeking a Junior-Level Tier 2 Ground Terminal IT Technician to sustain and support GT systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing to maintain reliable GT performance.

Qualifications

• GT or Related Maintenance Experience: Hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, restoration of GT antenna, RF, or mission-critical systems.
• Antenna / RF Systems: Knowledge of antenna systems, feeds, RF signal paths, and related maintenance practices.
• Fault Isolation & Restoration: Diagnose faults, isolate issues, and elevate unresolved problems to Tier-3/4.
• Configuration and Documentation: Implement approved configuration changes and maintain records per O&S plans.
• Installation & Test Support: Support installation, checkout, integration, testing, and acceptance.
• Vendor / Higher‑Tier Coordination: Coordinate unresolved issues with Tier-3/4 personnel.
• Experience supporting 24/7 operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Sustain GT systems to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of GT hardware.
• Develop and deliver a CMP for GT antenna baseline and MUE hardware; maintain configuration control.
• Create and update SOPs for GT antenna and MUE hardware maintenance.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier-3/4 and coordinate cross-domain troubleshooting.
