Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Junior‑Level Tier 2 Ground Terminal/IT Technician to sustain GT systems, provide technical support, and ensure ongoing availability and performance. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineers and higher‑tier teams to resolve complex faults.

The role emphasizes adherence to approved O&S plans, configuration management, and cross‑domain coordination to support mission‑critical government projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance for GT antenna, RF, and related systems.
• Experience ensuring availability, reliability, and performance of ground terminal systems.
• Knowledge of configuration-control procedures and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on GT control hardware and MUE components.
• Troubleshoot faults, document issues, and coordinate with Tier-3 for escalations.
• Develop and maintain CMP and CMP-related documentation for GT antennas and hardware.
• Maintain CM plan and ensure configuration control of GT antenna baseline and MUE hardware.
• Assist in installation, integration, and testing of new antennas and upgrades.
