Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver seeks a Ground Systems Software Engineer 3 to maintain and develop software for the launch vehicle's avionics and ground support systems. You will work in a highly collaborative Agile team, delivering real-time software solutions while engaging with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and cross-functional teams.

The role requires leadership, strong C/C++, Python skills, and experience with software configuration management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university with 4+ years of related work experience
Experience working on an agile development team
Experience independently designing, developing, and delivering software solutions
Experience presenting hardware/software architecture and designs to internal and external audiences
Experience with object-oriented designs and languages
Experience with C/C++
Experience with Software Configuration Management practices including Git
Agile methodologies
Test Driven Development (TDD)
Software design principles

Responsibilities

Maintain and develop software products for command, control and monitoring of launch vehicle avionics and ground support equipment
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architecture, QA and automation teams in an Agile environment
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on development to meet real-time requirements for launch operations
