Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Ground Systems Software Engineer 3 to design, develop, and maintain software for command, control and monitoring of launch vehicle avionics and ground support equipment in an Agile environment.

You will lead and collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, and operations teams, delivering real-time, mission-critical software for manufacturing, preflight, and launch countdown operations, with relocation options to Denver area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 4+ years of related work experience.
• Experience on an agile development team.
• Experience independently designing, developing, and delivering software solutions.
• Experience presenting hardware/software system architecture to internal and external audiences.
• Experience in the full software development life cycle.
• Experience with OO designs and C/C++.
• Experience with Software Configuration Management (Git).
• Agile Methodologies and TDD experience.
• Software design principles and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop software for ground systems and avionics control.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Operations in Agile settings.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on development for real-time software.
• Deliver mission-critical software for manufacturing, preflight, and launch countdown.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and support launch events remotely.
