Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, seeks a Ground Systems Controller at Kirtland AFB, NM. You will operate and monitor mission ground systems, perform routine checks, respond to issues, and support mission activities per established procedures.

You will coordinate with engineers, government personnel, and operations teams to maintain system availability, document status, and ensure accurate mission reporting. Shift work and rigorous compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in ground systems operations, satellite operations, command and control, systems monitoring, or a related technical field.
• Experience operating or monitoring complex hardware and software systems.
• Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and respond to system alerts and anomalies.
• Ability to document operational activity clearly and communicate status to mission personnel.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors ground systems, hardware, software, and supporting equipment.
• Performs scheduled system checks and verifies equipment readiness before mission activities.
• Monitors system performance and reports potential issues.
• Responds to system alerts and anomalies using established procedures.
• Assists with troubleshooting and recovery actions under supervision.
• Maintains accurate operational logs and turnover documentation.
• Coordinates with government personnel, engineers, and operations teammates during mission activities.
• Supports system testing, maintenance, configuration changes, and restoration activities.
• Follows cybersecurity, configuration-management, safety, and operational requirements.
• Performs shift work as needed.
