Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, seeks a Ground Systems Controller to support mission operations at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The role operates and monitors mission ground systems, performs routine checks, responds to issues, and coordinates with engineers and government personnel to maintain system availability and accurate mission reporting.

You will work on-site, perform shift work as needed, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ground systems operations or related technical fields.
• Experience operating or monitoring complex hardware and software systems.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and respond to alerts and anomalies.
• Ability to document operational activity clearly and communicate system status.
• Strong teamwork in a mission-focused environment.
• Willingness to support shift work, weekends, holidays, or nonstandard hours.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors ground systems, hardware, software, and supporting equipment.
• Performs scheduled system checks and verifies equipment readiness before mission activities.
• Monitors system performance and reports potential issues.
• Responds to system alerts and anomalies using established procedures.
• Assists with troubleshooting and recovery actions under supervision.
• Maintains accurate operational logs and turnover documentation.
• Coordinates with government personnel during mission activities.
• Supports system testing, maintenance, and configuration changes.
• Follows cybersecurity, configuration-management, safety, and operational requirements.
• Performs shift work in support of mission requirements.
• Completes required training and maintains position certification.
