Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Ground Support Equipment Engineering Designer in Poway, CA to contribute to the development of remotely piloted aircraft and associated systems.

Under supervision, you will provide CAD-based design solutions using NX, Creo Parametric or CATIA, document findings, present to engineering staff and possibly supervise junior designers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate in CAD design plus 10+ years of CAD experience; education may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop design solutions for structural products and components.
• Interact with engineering staff on concepts and progress.
• May be assigned design responsibility for major project portions.
• Prepare layouts, sketches, blueprints, and assess factors like damage tolerance.
