Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Fleet Reliability Intern to design, build, and deploy hardware for our global ground station network. You’ll work hands-on with ground support equipment (GSE), wire harnesses, and test setups, while collaborating with mentors across electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams.

You’ll own a hardware project from inception to field deployment, gain exposure to real-world space infrastructure challenges, and contribute to critical site operations for

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate level program in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Willingness to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Able to work in a professional team with engineers, management, technicians, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own a ground station hardware project from inception to deployment.
• Hands-on work with ground support equipment, wire harnesses, and test setups.
• Support site operations and troubleshoot issues with urgency.
• Collaborate with mentors and cross-functional engineers to complete projects.
