Job summary

SES Space & Defense seeks a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to drive systems engineering across GEO/government programs. You will align requirements, interfaces, and architectures through MBSE, MBSE tools like Cameo, and ICD management, coordinating with RF, network, cloud, and mission planning teams.

You will contribute to verification planning, VCRM, and SI engineering documentation while supporting AI&T activities and long-term sustainment for critical government communications capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years in systems engineering, aerospace, satellite communications, or defense programs.
• Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of Ground Segment engineering activities.
• Maintain Ground Segment technical baseline; ensure requirements, architecture, interfaces consistency.
• Develop and maintain ICDs across interfaces (Ground Control Software, RF Ground, Anchor Stations, TT&C, Cloud, Network, Mission Planning, external gov't systems).
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to baselined interface requirements.
• Support MBSE activities: system modeling, architecture updates, requirements traceability, artifact management.
• Develop and maintain VCRM, SEMP, and AI&T planning documents.
• Assist in AI&T planning: integration, verification, testing, requirements validation, documentation.
