Job summary

CareFlite, a nonprofit ambulance service, is seeking an experienced Paramedic to deliver high-quality emergency care for patients transported by the Ground Division. You will operate ambulances safely, maintain equipment, and assist during air/ground transfers, while upholding CareFlite policies and professional standards.

You will communicate clearly with patients, families, and medical staff, ensuring a positive transport experience and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Current State of Texas certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current PHTLS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire
• Current PALS Certificate or obtained within 6 weeks of hire
• Current Dallas City Ambulance Attendant Driver permit
• Current Texas Class C driver’s license
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English
• 1 Year experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate emergency vehicle safely in accordance with laws and CareFlite policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all medical and non-medical equipment on the ambulance.
• Perform routine maintenance checks at shift start and report any issues.
• Assist flight crew with loading/unloading patients for helicopter or fixed-wing transport.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
