Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. in Myrtle Beach is seeking a part-time Operations Agent to support ground operations and ensure timely departures.

You will coordinate ramp activities, services, and communications across aircraft and teams, while providing legendary customer service in a fast-paced environment. New hires undergo 4–6 weeks of training, with shifts determined by seniority and standard 32-hour work weeks over 5 days.

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Two years of airline/military related work experience preferred.
• Must obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• May be required to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to customers and maintain positive relationships.
• Coordinate Ramp, Operations, Provisioning and servicing aircraft for on-time departures.
• Work in airport operation offices, gate areas, jetways, and air freight facilities; may face weather and noise.
• Handle station AMS and radio communications; monitor ramp activities.
• Coordinate loading/unloading of aircraft and guide boarding/deplaning.
• Prepare dispatch release forms and weather reports as needed.
• Arrange fueling and prepare weight/balance forms; inform Dispatch and Stations.
