Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking an Operations Agent to support ground operations and help flights depart safely and on time. You will assist customers boarding, verify flight details, and collaborate with Ramp, Operations, and Crew teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires flexibility for shifts, training, and seniority-based scheduling. Part-time schedule with 32 hours/week and potential overtime is available, with generous benefits and union guidance.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly service to Customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a cooperative team to support flight operations.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements and wear uniform.

Responsibilities

• Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all Customers.
• Coordinates loading and unloading of aircraft by monitoring ramp activities.
• Assists with boarding, weight and balance, and coordinating with gate agents to ensure on-time departures.
• Operates in gate area, jetways and air freight facilities and communicates with Dispatch.
• Prepares dispatch releases and weather reports for Crew, and ensures proper provisioning of aircraft.
