iQuasar, LLC is seeking a Ground Network Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The role requires evaluating network designs, ensuring scalable, secure, high-performance environments and advising on architecture and data center layouts.

The position demands experience with Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto gear, virtualization (VMware), and automation (Ansible). Travel to diverse sites may be required; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) required.
Experience with network protocols, devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from major vendors.
Proficiency in network monitoring tools (Wireshark) and virtualization tech (VMware).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate proposed network designs and existing architectures for scalability and performance.
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations.
Assess latest security protocols, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
Advise on network architecture, performance and security risks for data centers and IT infrastructure.
Support design reviews, requirements derivations, test plans, and verifications with developers.
Coordinate with multiple ground elements and travel to client sites as needed.
