Description

Ground Handler

This is a variable type position.

Primary Purpose of the position

This Ground Handler position requires an individual who understands the value of excellent customer service and the ancillary services provided by Modern Aviation. The role involves communicating and providing necessary resources to meet customer needs, working both inside the Executive Terminal and outside on the Aircraft Parking Ramp, and reporting to the Line Manager.

Essential Functions:

1. Meeting, greeting, and welcoming passengers and flight crews.
2. Directing customers to the terminal or to meet guests.
3. Positioning rental vehicles for arriving aircraft.
4. Assisting with luggage offloading.
5. Escorting customer vehicles on and off the airfield.
6. Assisting flight crews with service needs, baggage, and transportation.
7. Directing flight crews for fuel or service orders.
8. Assisting with aircraft interior cleaning and trash removal.
9. Delivering catering, coffee, ice, and newspapers during departure prep.
10. Ensuring fuel and service orders are completed for departure.
11. Loading luggage into aircraft.
12. Returning rental vehicles to the parking lot.
13. Supporting teammates when not servicing customers.
14. Thanking customers and encouraging repeat visits.
15. Improving customer service practices.
16. Performing other duties as assigned.

• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

• Preferred: associate degree in aviation/business and prior aviation experience.
