Job summary

Valor Front is seeking a Director of Construction for a new West Texas data center campus. This ground-floor role leads end-to-end delivery from entitlement to commissioning, with immediate line-of-sight to 200MW and a five-year outlook beyond 1GW.

The position reports to a founder-led leadership team and drives buildability, risk management, and lifecycle performance for a hyperscale-grade facility. West Texas work integrates with a national, multi-market pipeline and aggressive growth goals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive mission-critical or complex industrial construction leadership.
• Proven delivery of hyperscale/enterprise data centers or similar.
• Deep knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy, commissioning, and turnover.
• Strong track record in preconstruction, scheduling, cost control, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to build and lead execution teams and manage GC/trade ecosystems.
• Excellent stakeholder management with owners, AHJs, utilities, and key customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data center construction program from entitlement through turnover.
• Drive delivery certainty across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety for a hyperscale build.
• Partner with Engineering, Development, Procurement, and Operations to ensure buildability and lifecycle performance.
• Oversee site due diligence, constructability, phasing, logistics, and early works planning.
• Manage permitting, utility coordination, and community stakeholders in a new market.
• Enforce safety and resiliency standards and lead commissioning toward auditable turnover.
• Build and scale a regional execution team of PMs, Superintendents, MEP leads, and safety specialists.
• Select and manage designers, GCs/CMs, trade partners, OEMs, and vendors to standards.
• Own capital project budgets, forecasting, change control, and cost-to-complete accuracy.
