Job summary

Menzies Aviation seeks a Ground Equipment Mechanic to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles, including but not limited to support trucks, hydrant trucks, and fuel equipment. You will inspect parts, perform repairs on gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and maintain refueling gear.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience, tool familiarity, and the ability to obtain airport badges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of mechanical experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Available to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to obtain/maintain Airports and Custom badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records.
• Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles.
• Provide preventive care to equipment and ensure timely repairs to keep aircraft services teams operating.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment per health, safety and security policies.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.

What you will be doing

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance.
