Menzies Aviation is seeking an Airport Equipment Maintenance Technician in Austin, TX. You will repair and rebuild airport service vehicles including trucks, carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks, inspecting and fixing gas/diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems to keep equipment safe and available.

Role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience or technical school graduation, 18+ years old, a valid US driver’s license, and ability to lift 70 lbs.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years mechanical experience or graduates of technical schools.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess valid US driver’s license.
  • Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
  • All mechanics are required to perform all duties of the other positions, as needed due to operational need; Example: a Level I Mechanic may need to perform tasks of a Level III when directed.
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Role Purpose

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. These vehicles include but are not limited to support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventive care for equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment ensuring all work are performed safely and is supported by following established procedures and protocols.

What you will be doing:

  • Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles as well as make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling and mechanical systems.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on the refueling equipment, maintain records relating to maintenance.
  • Ensure our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, aassuring a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual quality control checks on the equipment
  • Able to perform an accident inspection on involved equipment

What we are looking for:
