Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide ground avionics support for the AFLCMC C3I&N Directorate at Eglin AFB. This full-time role requires DoD experience and a current Top Secret clearance, with travel to USAF and FMS locations globally.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating data link systems, tactical radios, and lab/test equipment, plus delivering training on data link operations and COMSEC procedures to military and civilian personnel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in systems engineering including at least 5 years in a DoD environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Must have in-depth knowledge with LINK-16, SADL and other Tactical Data Link systems and message protocols.
• Experience with JICO tools, JTRS radios, fighter aircraft (F-16, F-15, F-35), CRC, and AOC.
• Knowledge of Flight Line Maintenance procedures and a working knowledge of both AC and DC electrical power and Radio Frequency characteristics.
• Able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design following best practices and design patterns.
• Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and Tactical Data Link support.
• Set up and operate equipment used to support fielding and training of Tactical Data Links.
• Operate Tactical Radios including MIDS terminals.
• Operate Spectrum Analyzers, OScopes, Digital Volt Meters and other test equipment.
• Conduct training for military and civilian members on data link operations, COMSEC Key loading, and data link troubleshooting on ground systems.
