Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Ground Architecture Systems Engineer to guide diverse architecture analyses and MBSE activities in support of mission delivery for IC and DoD customers. The role emphasizes MBSE, AI/ML integration, and full lifecycle systems engineering.

You will craft architecture views, validate requirements, and perform trade studies while coordinating agile planning and technical interchange meetings. Strong communication and security clearances are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8–10 years of experience; or Master’s 6–8 years; PhD 3–5 years.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
• Experience across the engineering V‑model and full system development life cycle.
• Hands-on MBSE with Cameo Systems Modeler to develop MBSE artifacts.
• SysML/UAF applied to mission, system, enterprise architectures.
• Requirements development, traceability, interface definition, baseline management.
• Modeling and simulation with MATLAB, STK, AFSIM or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and secure deployments.
• Knowledge of Agile/SAFe and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering across the full system life cycle from concept to sustainment.
• Develop and maintain MBSE artifacts using Cameo and UAF methodologies.
• Create architecture views: operational, functional, logical, physical, interfaces.
• Decompose, allocate, trace, and validate requirements across stakeholders.
• Perform architecture trade studies and mission-thread analyses.
• Assess AI/ML integration, data dependencies, and operational risks.
• Conduct modeling, simulation, and quantitative analyses (MATLAB, STK, AFSIM).
• Prepare briefs, white papers, and architecture documents for stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture reviews, requirements reviews, and Agile planning.
