Job summary

Digestive Disease Consultants is seeking a Grossing Histotech to perform grossing, processing, embedding, and sectioning of GI biopsy specimens. The role requires CLIA High Complexity qualifications and prior histology lab experience. Training will be provided by Lab Director.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm with potential flexibility. You will work in a collaborative team focused on accurate, high-quality tissue processing and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Must meet qualifications for CLIA High Complexity Testing Personnel.
  • HT(ASCP) certification or registry eligible.
  • Previous experience in an anatomic pathology and histology laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Perform grossing (prosection) of gastrointestinal biopsy and polyp specimens.
  • Prepare tissue sections using microtomy and perform routine and special stains.
  • Operate H&E autostainer and immunohistochemical staining instrumentation.
  • Maintain equipment, reagents, and cleanliness; ensure safe laboratory practices.
  • Assist in accessioning, data entry in LIS, and specimen tracking.
