Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Grooming Salon Leader to steward salon operations and lead grooming staff. You will deliver expert grooming services to pets and provide coaching to build a high-performing team, ensuring a positive customer experience.

You will manage schedules, monitor performance, and collaborate with store management to hit salon targets while upholding Petco standards and safety policies. This role requires leadership and grooming expertise with a passion for animals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• Strong leadership skills, with 1–2 years previous salon management experience preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations and scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise grooming staff; provide coaching and evaluations.
• Create efficient grooming schedules to maximize productivity and coverage.
• Monitor revenue, customer satisfaction, and staff performance; implement improvements.
• Interact with pet parents to deliver exceptional grooming care and recommendations.
• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, cutting, and styling.
