Job summary

Petco is seeking a professional Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services to our customers' pets in the grooming salon. You will ensure each pet receives care with attention to detail, leaving them looking and feeling their best.

The role requires experience in grooming, comfort working with animals, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as part of Petco Total Rewards.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Operate and maintain clippers, blades, shears, brushes and dryers.
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being, monitor for discomfort and report concerns.
• Assess coat type and skin conditions to tailor grooming plans.
• Provide exceptional customer service and grooming recommendations.
• Maintain clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment; follow policies.
• Assist and train entry-level trainees when needed.
