Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for our customers' pets, delivering high-quality care and a positive experience.

You will work with a supportive team, learn breed-specific grooming techniques, and have opportunities for career progression including leadership roles. Weekend and evening shifts may be required, with Petco Total Rewards and discounts offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to judge situations and solve problems with guidance.
• Detail-oriented with strong grooming quality.
• Genuine passion for animals.
• Strong communication with pet parents.
• Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and grooming standards.
• Able to work weekends, evenings, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including baths, trims, and styling.
• Operate grooming tools and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Ensure animal safety and comfort; monitor for signs of distress.
• Interact with pet parents to discuss grooming needs and recommendations.
• Train or supervise trainees when needed.
• Adhere to Petco policies and sanitation guidelines.
