Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah seeks a Groomer Level 1 for seasonal, hourly work operating heavy grooming equipment to create smooth skiing surfaces for guests.

You will perform pre-operation checks, coordinate with supervisors, maintain equipment logs, and help keep the work area safe. Flexibility with shifts and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with mechanics of snow movement and equipment nomenclature desirable.
• Experience as snowmaker/skiing trail crew desirable.
• Flexible with shifts, weekends, holidays, AM/PM shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operation checkout and fueling of grooming vehicles.
• Receive shift instructions from Supervisor.
• Perform basic grooming tasks under supervision.
• Maintain logs on equipment used.
• Maintain a safe, friendly work area and assist guests and staff.
• Report unsafe conditions and coordinate with mechanics.
• Other duties as assigned.

## Groomer I - SeasonalApply: Solitude, UT: Full time: Posted Today: JR135772Seasonal**JOB TITLE**: Groomer Level 1**DIVISION**: Mountain Operations **REPORTS TO**: Shift Supervisor, Slopes Maintenance Manager, and Director of Mnt Ops.**LOCATION:** Solitude Mountain Resort**CLASSIFICATION:** Full-Time/ Seasonal /Hourly **POSITION:**The Groomer operates heavy construction equipment and/or snow grooming equipment with attachments. This person operates heavy equipment in an efficient manner on an as needed basis and grooms trails with the objective of providing an enjoyable skiing surface for guests. He/she knows capability of machinery and understands maintenance functions and gauges. **JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Pre-operation checkout and fueling of vehicle.* Show up for work in good condition.* Receive instructions for shift from Supervisor.* Preform basic grooming functions from Grooming supervisor* Perform required work in a safe and efficient manner.* Secure work site nightly in a reasonably safe manner, (i.e. holes marked, equipment keys removed).* Groom/repair hazards encountered.* Inform Supervisor of scheduled jobs not completed.* Inform mechanics of necessary repairs and/or service needed.* Maintain accurate up-to-date logs on equipment used.* Maintain a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively dealing with guests, mechanics, and other employees.* Report and correct, if possible, unsafe conditions regarding equipment and area of work, or elsewhere on the area.* Housekeeping of assigned work/shop/equipment area.* Perform other duties as directed.
