Pet Groomer Responsibilities

• Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets, including detangling, dematting, or combing out different coat types.
• Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, expressing anal glands, and cleaning their ears.
• Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
• Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.
• Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process.
• Routinely cleaning work areas.
• Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
• Communicating effectively with owners and recognizing non-verbal cues in dogs.
• Familiarity with different dog breeds and sizes.
• Understanding the characteristics and grooming needs of different coat types (e.g., short, long, curly).

Pet Groomer Requirements

• Night and weekend availability.
• Professional grooming experience preferred.
