Job summary

Marukai Tokyo Central in Torrance, CA is seeking a Store Support Associate for the Food Department. You will assist with stocking, merchandising, and delivering premier customer service to help shoppers find what they need.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided and teamwork is emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 or older to use sharp knives, ladders, scaffolds or substitutes, and operate or assist in operating power-driven machinery or equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds without aid.
• No experience required, but 1–2 years of work experience in a similar environment is preferred.
• Previous experience as a stocker is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and stocking food display areas per store layouts and standards.
• Setting up and maintaining the Food Department’s conditions.
• Ensuring food is properly handled, stocked, rotated and merchandised.
