Job summary

Redner's Markets, Inc. in Whitehall, PA is seeking a Grocery Stock Clerk to maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department.

You will unload merchandise, transport stock to storage, price items, keep shelves full, rotate perishables, and ensure a neat, customer-friendly area in alignment with company policies. The role requires lifting up to 70 pounds, reading and applying price tags, and following written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise and maintain inventory.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Lift up to seventy pounds (70 lbs) at least 40% of the time.
• Retrieve and place merchandise on top racks in the grocery aisles; possible 20% time in aisles.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading the merchandise.
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas.
• Open cartons and price items accurately.
• Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.
• Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.
• Control level of damaged goods.
• Present assigned section neatly before leaving the shift.
• Observe policies and procedures established for each department.
• Greet customers and be observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the dress code policy.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintenance of price and protection program.
• Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.
• Assist with front-end service when needed.
