Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Albany, NY is seeking a Food Clerk/Stocker to support the Grocery team. You will stock, display, and maintain product readiness while delivering friendly customer service and upholding WFM standards. You may assist with sampling, inventory, and price accuracy, working a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment.

No prior retail experience is required; training is provided. This role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow within store

Qualifications

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Able to stand/walk 6–8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic math and ability to learn product knowledge.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.

Responsibilities

Ensure fresh, appealing displays and stock shelves.
Maintain back stock and orderly displays.
Assist with sampling and waste control.
Provide courteous, efficient customer service and handle phones politely.
Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures and sign pricing accurately.
Complete required reports and participate in trainings.
