Job summary

Kroger on Frederica St in Owensboro seeks a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer service and keep aisles clean and safe. You will bag groceries, assist at checkout, and help customers with loading bags into their car while upholding Kroger's values.

Responsibilities include restocking shelves, informing customers of specials, maintaining safe, neat spaces, and adhering to food safety guidelines. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather baskets and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when resolving issues.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
