Kroger is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding service and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment. You will bag groceries, assist customers, and help with loading bags while following safety and food safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, fast-paced adaptability, and a customer-focused approach as part of Kroger's store operations. Flexible scheduling and part-time opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger bags groceries at check out for customers.
• Strives for at least five items in the bag while preventing damage.
• Follows best practices for bagging items in various bag types.
• Assists in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offers to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Performs basic shelf conditioning and informs customers of grocery specials.
• Returns merchandise to store shelves and gathers bascarts.
• Cleans spills, trash in store and parking lot and understands store layout for price checks.
• Reinforces safety programs and notifies management of unsafe conditions.
• Adheres to all food safety regulations and maintains equipment through preventive maintenance.
