Job summary

Kroger in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers with loading bags, and help keep the store safe and clean to encourage repeat visits.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety procedures, and handle merchandise with care. Prior retail experience is preferred but not required, and we offer comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive for at least five items in the bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Bag items using reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
