Job summary

Kroger is hiring a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Morgantown, WV location to create an outstanding customer experience at checkout and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will help bag groceries, assist customers, and uphold our safety and cleanliness standards.

This role supports store operations with a focus on loading bags for customers, stocking shelves, and guiding customers with product locations while adhering to food safety and store policies.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Willingness to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Assist in removing customer’s merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
