Job summary

Pick 'n Save is hiring for a Courier Clerk/Grocery Bagger at our Madison, WI location. You will bag groceries at checkout, assist customers with loading bags, and keep store areas clean and organized. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and friendly service to encourage return visits.

Qualifications

• Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout
• Bagging for at least five items and ensuring contents are not damaged
• Follow bagging best practices for reusable, plastic, and paper bags
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas
• Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
• Clean all areas inside and outside store
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout and locate products; conduct price checks
• Reinforce safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
• Create welcoming environment and answer customer questions about products
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environments
• Ability to manage conflict in a calm manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
