Job summary

Kroger in Madison, WI is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding service, bag groceries at checkout, and help keep aisles clean. You will engage with customers and assist with loading bags into cars, while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include informing customers of specials, returning merchandise to shelves, and upholding safety and food safety guidelines in a fast-paced retail setting. Flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at check out for customers.
• Assist in removing customer’s merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Adhere to safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions.
