Job summary

Pick 'n Save in West Allis, WI is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create outstanding customer experiences by providing friendly service, bagging groceries, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment.

You will assist at checkout, help load bags, stock shelves, inform customers of specials, and uphold food safety and store policies. Part-time, flexible scheduling with a chance to grow within Kroger Family of Companies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at check out for customers.
• Assure at least five items per bag while avoiding damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable/plastic/paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by following procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
