• Ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions about products to help customers.
• Maintain knowledge of products and make suggestions.
• Offer product samples to customers.
• Inform customers of specials.
• Ensure fresh, ordered products are provided.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs.
• Check product quality and dates for freshness.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Support safety programs and report hazards.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
• Follow directions and resolve issues cooperatively.
• Assist with interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
