Job summary

Smart & Final, part of the Chedraui USA family, seeks a Service Clerk at our Yuma, AZ store. The role includes assisting customers, stocking, checkout support, and keeping aisles neat. The starting rate is $15.15 per hour, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Requirements include reading and writing in English, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Basic PC/Outlook skills are a plus; prior retail experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes English; interacts with customers and coworkers.
• Able to read simple instructions, price codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Writes simple correspondence.
• Gives information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Able to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, often 25–45 lbs, occasionally 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading into vehicles.
• Check prices at shelf for associates at the check stand.
• Return merchandise to shelves and keep aisles clean and organized.
• Monitor store entrance cleanliness and trash, mop walkways and doors daily.
• Restroom cleanliness and restock as needed.
