Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Builds displays to drive incremental sales. Stocks and rotates merchandise to ensure freshness. Keeps product within easy customer reach. Stores excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines.
• Greets customers with a smile, answers questions, and helps resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
• Applies proper stocking techniques, ensuring products are properly located, saleable, and correctly priced with signs.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries using a power jack or hand jack (training provided).
• Handles damaged or discontinued items per company policy, removing unsellable products.
• Maintains sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and health guidelines. Disposes of trash properly.
• Maintains productivity standards, work methods, and shrink control. Complies with security policies. Stocks items at an acceptable rate as per standards.
• May assist with baling cardboard or related duties (training provided).
• Ensures smooth department and store operation by cooperating with colleagues and supervisors. Continuously seeks to improve job performance.
• Utilizes all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
• May assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
