Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is hiring an Applied Scientist II for Grocery Personalization. You will develop ML models and features that transform how customers discover and buy groceries, using LLM-based techniques and real-time ranking at scale.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team across science, product, design, and engineering to advance the science roadmap and deliver high-impact solutions for hundreds of millions of customers globally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Innovate features and models with large impact on customer experience.
• Apply LLM-based techniques for real-time ranking and personalization at Amazon's scale.
• Collaborate across science, product, design, and engineering from concept to launch.
• Drive the science roadmap for the Grocery Personalization team.
