Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Salt Lake City is seeking a dedicated team member to help with ordering, replenishment, and merchandising of grocery products while upholding exceptional customer service and safety standards.

You will stock shelves, manage back room stock, support promotional displays, and ensure accurate inventory and pricing; strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility are essential. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes Order Writer training.
• Replenishes products through proper buying procedures.
• Orders perishable and non-perishable groceries and maintains back stock.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Controls spoilage and shrink; participates in inventory.
• Performs spoilage and all other inventory management processes, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Ensures orders for product are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyses and controls product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in conducting inventories.
• Maintains financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
